More From Resort 16' | Rachel Comey x Rag & Bone

Rachel Comey

Rag & Bone

During this years resort presentations I found myself drawn not only to the garments but the creative way designers approached creating their lookbooks. I love when fashion and art are used to showcase more than clothes as well a designer/brand's aesthetic.  I enjoyed both Rachel Comey's and Rag and Bones Resort 16 presentations, both exhibiting a unique way of capturing their garments. Rachel Comey deviating from the norm; decided to document a dance performance resulting in a lookbook with movement and expression. Every woman wants clothes she can move in, Comey's newest collection proves this notion in the coolest way possible. Rag and Bone stuck to a fairly neutral color pallet using angles to capture different sides of the garment. I'd describe this presentation as cold and moody, way off base from typical resort wear, but somehow it works. Pinning sporty understated garments against the season's norm of vacation wear (Light, airy, barely there pieces). Rag gives us clothes for the girl who doesn't get away often, but still makes sure her street style is on point. Rag and bone know how to put together artful lookbooks just as visually pleasing as the garments they are showcasing.

I hope you all enjoyed these collections as much as I did. See more at Style.com

Elie Saab Fall 2015 Couture

Yet another amazing couture collection by Elie Saab!He continues to bring us elegance in true haute fashion with floor-length gowns covered in sequins and beading. The color palette, ideal for any and every luxe occasion, had models taking the runway in princess flare gowns dipped in gold, with timeless accessories and flawless hair adorn with embellished headpieces. Every season, Saab holds true to his aesthetic. Each one adding a twist onto his signature. I will never grow bored of an Elie Saab collection- after all, if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

Love, Beatrice

Last weekend was a great one for us. We went back to the Bay Area for our aunt's wedding and shot these pics in the vineyards of Livermore, CA during the rehearsal. On hand, we had these beautiful bags by Shana Bea. Her brand Love, Beatrice consists of handmade totes and clutches in sustainable materials. We have been following Shana for awhile now, and admire her as an influential businesswoman. The both of us are beyond excited to collab with her and her brand and not only is she a designer but an author as well; we enjoyed her book " Her crown." Maya ( white dress) has the textured " Sade" bag in red and Milan's is the " Alani" in neutral. We have been using them everyday since we've received them. If you guys are looking for a versatile bag that can carry you from day to night, look no further than Love, Beatrice. With many styles and colors to chose from, there is a bag for every type of woman. Thank you again Shana for the bags, most of all thank you for inspiring us.

Whowhatwear x Street style Cinema

Street Style Cinema is a new event hosted by Who What Wear where cinema and everyday fashion come together. We attended the showing of Mean girls, and it was "so fetch". We had cotton candy, cupcakes (from sprinkles..yumm!), popcorn, drinks and candy, but it was the photo booth that was the highlight of the night. They even had a place set up where you could get a mani. WWW puts on this event every thursday in the month of June, you come to the grove where the place is setup according to the theme of the movie. We had so much fun and can't wait to visit more events like this. We recently moved to Los Angeles, and are so excited for this new chapter in our lives, so stay tuned!

Parisian Gardens

This past weekend we celebrated our lovely aunties wedding with a bridal shower that was themed Parisian Gardens. We have been celebrating this upcoming event all year long and have had a ball dressing up for these occasions. I chose to wear a printed jumpsuit that doesn't really say Parisian Garden, but is something I think is an ode to parisian style which is chic and elegant. Milan wore a gorgeous shift dress with a beautiful floral detail definitely embodying the theme.
