Essence Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon

 Lupita always slays! We look forward to her look every time she hits an event or red carpet. She is becoming such a fashion icon in a short amount of time. This two piece dress is amazing and looks great on her skin tone! We're loving the minimal accessories as well.

 Tracee is my MUSE! I absolutely love her, she doesn't consider herself a fashion icon but in my eyes she is. While at the luncheon she admitted that she doesn't have a stylist and repeats outfits. I love that she can just go through her closet and pull off a look by herself for an event, if thats not a fashion icon I don't know what is. (Milan)

 Brandy hit the luncheon in a menswear inspired look and we loved it! The suit is beautifully made, we love the color on this sleeveless look. We'd like to add that we are LOVING the short  hair on her it fits this outfit perfectly.

 Naomie can never get it wrong! The simple white color countered the complex and sexy cutouts of this dress and the lace appliqué makes this dress all the more beautiful. Naomie is so gorgeous she can wear anything! We can not wait to see what she wears to the Oscars.

 We seem to be the only people who haven't been too fond of Kerry's maternity style.So we are pleased to say  that at todays luncheon she looked great in this cobalt blue dress. We love how simple and chic the dress is and it still displays her belly in a beautiful way. Go Kerry!

Common was one of the many men who came out to support this wonderful event, and he was looking great on the white carpet. Our love for Common runs deep (who could resists that smile and spit shined head) lol on to the fashion. His suit is tailored to him perfectly, we love how the material almost looks like denim making the tailored suit look effortless and cool. This man know how to dress for every event, we are in love with him and his style.

Currently Listening to....

There are few things I love as much as fashion, music is one of them. Here are a few songs I've been listening to over the past month or so.  I just discovered James Blake and I'm listening to him everyday now. If you haven't I suggest everyone check out Kings of Leon's album Mechanical Bull, its amazinngg. & Beyonce's album has been on repeat since it came out of course. I must note Drake's song Worst Behavior puts me in a bomb mood. 2pac is a must in any playlist I make, WESTSIDE! lol Hope you all enjoy:)

Shoe Crazy

I'm trying to decide which shoes I want to purchase next, its so hard to find a style to commit to. Right now all I've been wearing is sneakers, and my Doc boots. I've been wanting a pair of Nikes for awhile but I'm so indecisive when it comes to picking a color way. Maya's Golden Globes Best Dressed

The Golden Globes kicked off Awards Season this week and there were some major fashion moments on the red carpet this past Sunday. My favorite part of Awards Season is sitting in front of my TV and watching all the red carpet coverage, I was so excited to see which gowns would make an appearance. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the wonderful ladies that owned in last years movies and television. 

 Cate Blanchett looked like a work of art in this lace Armani number. The opening in the back was gorgeous and when she turned around my jaw dropped. Love!

Maria Menounos looked great while giving interviews on the red carpet in this gorgeous gown by Max Azria! I adore the color and this dress fits her like a glove. Work Maria!

 I have Margot Robbie on style watch for the duration of award season, I can tell she is going to be on all my favorite looks list. The high slit, the top embellished with emerald and the matching emerald shoes..she's a stunner.

Michelle Dockery is one to watch on red carpets, I recently looked through some of her looks and I'm now a huge fan of her fashion. The color may be a little too pale for her, but there is just something so timeless about this look and it is extremely classy.. classy alway wins.

Caitlin Fitzgerald looked simply amazing in this A symmetrical gown by Emilia Wickstead. I enjoyed seeing this powder blue dress on the red carpet it makes me want to fast forward to spring. Hair, makeup, and those shoes FLAWLESS.

 Ok maybe I'm biased because I stan for Zoe Saldana and she can do no wrong in my eyes, but I do not understand why people hated this look!? True this is not a look just anyone could pull off, but Zoe slays and I'm loving this look designed by the wonderful Prabal Gurung.

Of course I saved the best for last! The stunning Lupita Nyong'o without a doubt was best dressed at the Globes in this amazing caped gown by Ralph Lauren... Genuis.. such a fashion moment. My absolute favorite look of the night!

OSMAN Pre-fall 2014

Happy New Year! Its our first post of 2014, we both just bought new computers and are so excited to be back blogging after our other computer broke. For our first post of the new year we are sharing  pictures form Osman's pre fall 2014 collection. This collection is beautiful, we love that the models aren't just standing in front of a white background instead they are in real settings such as an apartment.
