Bralette

bralette

I love the idea of wearing articles of clothing that are usually reserved for the bedroom out in public. In the past year we've seen pajama and lingerie inspired looks being worn with blazers, stilettos and jeans. I love how you can take a lace bralette or button down pajama top and style it to be suitable for the outside world. I am infatuated with the lingerie inspired clothing right now, it all started with the slip dress for me. Seeing women wear dresses that resembled slips with oversized coats and pumps reminds me of the effortlessness of the 90's. My obsession with this trend has developed into love for bralettes. This style might me a little bit risque but styled the right way it can be so chic and sexy. For my upcoming vacation all I'm thinking about is bralettes worn with full skirts, wide leg pants and heels. Bralettes are a perfect staple for vacation wardrobe and if you're worried about showing too much skin you can throw on a blazer and be good to go. The trick to conquering this trend is proportion, I would never wear a bralette with a mini skirt or low rise jeans, knowing just how much skin to show is key to rocking lingerie inspired looks. I created the above looks around my new found love for bralettes, what do you guys thing about Lingerie inspired clothing?

Mono with the Chrome

I was so excited when I found this faux leather skirt on Zara.com. It's the perfect fit and color for spring so I knew I had to purchase. Next order of business was finding a cropped shirt to pair with it, because we all know midis and crops are all the rage right now. I was on the hunt at my local H&M when I came across this cropped shirt that was the exact color of my skirt, It was then I knew I was finally going to have my first ever monochrome moment!
